The difference was stark. After looking like a Cy Young favorite by going 14-2 with a 2.31 ERA before the 2018 All-Star break, Luis Severino went 5-6 with a 5.57 ERA over his last 12 starts and gave up six runs in three innings against the Red Sox in the ALDS.
Severino said Monday he has been watching video to determine if he was tipping pitches. He also said he altered his workouts in an effort to avoid late-season fatigue.
Did opposing batters pick up a tell on Severino or did he just tire out? Nelson Figueroa and John Harper discuss on Baseball Night in New York.
