Robby Anderson has found a new home in the NFL, signing a two-year deal with the Panthers worth $20 million over that span. And it was a tough blow to the Jets, who simply waited too long to land the man that could've been their No. 1 receiver for Sam Darnold.
So, as Anderson unfortunately makes his way down to Carolina, it's only right to put together some of No. 11's best highlights in green and white.
Here are the best moments from the self-proclaimed "Sun God" that showcase his blazing speed, which can be seen in this crazy play from just last season...
1) Anderson goes 92 yards for a touchdown against the Cowboys (2019)
The Jets weren't supposed to win this game against Dallas, even though it was at MetLife Stadium. But playing them close in the first half just gave the feeling that this one was going to come down to the wire.
And Anderson's catch and waltz into the end zone made that a reality...
2) Anderson collects first TD catch against the Colts (2016)
I happened to be at this Monday Night Football bout between Indy and New York, and though there wasn't anything fun about this one at all with the Colts running the score up early, Anderson did make a nice grab for his first touchdown...
3) Anderson's best game at MetLife against the Panthers (2017)
Josh McCown had an affinity for Anderson in this Week 12 matchup at home, and rightfully so as he put up his best single-game numbers of his career. Anderson had six catches on 10 targets for a total of 146 yards and two touchdowns. And this was his second touchdown...
4) Robby's big day against the Packers (2018)
With Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in town, Anderson and the Jets had a tough task ahead of them against one of the best quarterbacks in the game. But Darnold had himself a day, rivaling the future Hall-of-Famer opposite him -- and a lot of that had to do with Anderson's 140 yards on nine catches with a touchdown.
Once again, I was lucky enough to see this game up close and personal, and Anderson's speed is just as advertised...
5) Bradley Roby can't handle Anderson's speed (2018)
Darnold came into this Week 5 contest against the Broncos ready to air the ball out, and unfortunately for Roby, he had to cover his favorite deep ball threat in Anderson. He only had three catches in the game, but two of them were absolute bombs from Darnold that went for touchdowns. The 123 total yards were chalked up next to Anderson's name at the end of the game...
And finally, here's a look back at 2017 when the Jets did a feature on Anderson's journey to the NFL, and how it took tons of hard work and realization to make the team after going undrafted...
