The Mets completed a comeback against the Atlanta Braves with some history on Saturday.
Trailing 4-0, the Mets turned things around and took a 5-4 lead as Pete Alonso tied the team's single-season home run record with his 41st home run of the year in the fifth inning.
Alonso's shot was drilled to center field and capped a four-run inning for the team.
Also scoring on the homer were Amed Rosario and Joe Panik, who both singled.
Alonso now sits atop the Mets' record book in a tie with Carlos Beltran and Todd Hundley, who both hit 41 homers in 2006 and 1996, respectively.
