Is the Jets' revolving door at the kicker position poised to keep spinning?
It's certainly a possibility, after the recently-signed Kaare Vedvik missed both kicks he took in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Bills, taking what could have been four decisive points off the board.
"We've just got to get better," head coach Adam Gase said of his team's special teams play. "We have to make extra points. We have to make field goals. We can't be giving away points in those areas of the field."
After the Jets opened the scoring thinks to CJ Mosley's interception and touchdown, Vedvik missed the extra point. As time ticked down in the first half, Vedvik had another chance to texted the lead, but missed a 45-yarder well right. He did not attempt another kick in the game, with the Jets opting to go for two following their only other touchdown of the game.
The Jets signed Vedvik prior to their Week 1 contest after the kicker was released by the Vikings following their preseason schedule. He began the preseason with the Ravens and went 4-for-4 in the team's opener before being traded to Minnesota. He made just one of his four kicks there before eventually landing with the Jets.
Following the game, Gase appeared non-committal as to whether or not Vedvik had a future as his team's placekicker.

"We'll see what happens on Monday," Gase said. "I haven't had a chance to have a conversation with personnel guys so we'll see what they want to do. We'll have more as we go."
SNY's Ralph Vacchiano reported that before the game, sources said Vedvik would only have a couple of weeks to showcase his skills before the Jets would take a look at someone else. After Sunday's performance, that clock may be moving even faster.
