The Jets continue to hold their virtual offseason program via Zoom meetings, but that isn't stopping quarterback Sam Darnold from getting some throws in at the beach.

In a video posted by former NFL quarterback and now noted passing instructor Jordan Palmer, Darnold is seen working on his footwork before airing one out, all while seemingly still practicing proper social distancing.

It was reported in late March that Darnold was quarantining in southern California while working out with Bills quarterback Josh Allen and new Redskins quarterback Kyle Allen as well.

"The quarterbacks wake up every day and, because all the parks and fields around them are shut down, go throw on the beach by Darnold's house," Albert Breer of The MMQB wrote back in late March. "After that, they'll go back to the house, eat lunch, play cards, watch TV, play some more cards and eventually watch movies at night. The biggest problems, really, are losing the chance to work with the rehab guy they'd been using, and fighting boredom."

NFL teams can begin to reopen their facilities on Tuesday, but only in places where local restrictions allow. The Jets and Giants will be among the 10 teams that can not yet return to their buildings, as New Jersey has not yet eased restrictions enough for that to happen.

Despite missing three games due to mono, Darnold threw for 3,024 yards in 2019 with 19 touchdowns and an 84.3 passer rating.

It's still uncertain when Darnold and the rest of the Jets will be able to get together in Florham Park, N.J., but Darnold is making this time away from the team count, as he continues to work on drills.
