After months of drama between himself and the Rangers, Vitali Kravtsov is in New York ready to suit up for training camp, according to his agent.

Kravtsov was made available for trade earlier this year after the two sides' rift continued late in 2021. He and GM Chris Drury have butted heads in the past, and he had told Gerard Gallant he wanted a fresh start.

Kravtsov had returned to his home country of Russia and had planned on not coming back until he was traded - the Rangers granted him permission to seek trades after he was left off the opening night roster heading into this past season.

He played in 20 games for the Rangers during the 2020-21 season, notching two goals and two assists. The Rangers loaned the prospect to the KHL last year, which paused their chances of trading him originally. At that point, reports floated that it would be surprising if Kravtsov played for the Blueshirts again.

In his 19 games in the KHL this season, he scored seven goals and recorded seven assists.
