Kyrie Irving took to Instagram after Wednesday's 121-110 loss for the Nets against the Celtics at TD Garden in Boston featured boos and chants directed toward the point guard, and the actions evidently did not sit well with teammate Kevin Durant.
Irving, who fired back at Celtics fans' criticism by calling the actions "ignorant and obtrusive," was not in attendance for the anticipated return to face his former team as he missed the Nets' seventh straight game with a right shoulder impingement.
Irving's absence did not stop Celtics fans' negativity, despite Boston head coach Brad Stevens' pregame plea and wing Jaylen Brown's postgame take.
After a Celtics fan took to Twitter and posted a screenshot of Irving's Instagram story with the words "BIG MAD" in the tweet, Durant responed by calling the person "obsessed" before adding "seek help."
Irving does not have a timetable for a return from the injury as the Nets return to Brooklyn for Friday's noon game against the Celtics.
You're obsessed. Seek help king

Durant (right Achilles rehab) is not expected to play for the Nets during the 2019-20 season, but has been a mainstay on Brooklyn's bench at Barclays Center home games in New York.
Irving and Durant chose to sign with the Nets in July over other NBA suitors, inking four-year deals and giving Brooklyn a 1-2 punch for the 2020-21 season and beyond.
"That's our biggest connection -- we've chosen a place where we can all grow together," Irving said Sept. 27 at Nets media day. "And we also have the experiences of the past that we connect with as well, watching each other from afar that, hey, maybe some of the things we did in our careers could have gone differently in the way we handled it. And how do we protect each other going forward so it doesn't happen again? We don't leave our brothers out there to dry. We played (on Team) USA together. We're best friends off the court. We talk every day."
