The Mets' front office has been making shifts late this season, and it continued on Tuesday when Bryn Alderson was named the director of pro scouting.

Alderson, the son of former GM Sandy Alderson has served as the assistant director of pro scouting since 2017. With the team parting ways with Jim D'Aloia, though, Alderson gets the promotion to director.

Jeff Lebow, the manager of pro scouting, was promoted to fill Alderson's spot as well.

"Bryn and Jeff are talented members of the baseball operations department," GM Brodie Van Wagenen said. "Jeff Wilpon, Allard Baird and I have been incredibly impressed with their initiative, work ethic and creativity. Most importantly, these promotions are a direct result of their positive contributions to the Mets culture and winning mindset."

Other than D'Aloia, the Mets are also parting ways with Ruben Amaro Jr., who was a special assistant to Van Wagenen after coaching first base last season. Scouts Tim Kissner, Tim Fortugno, and Lee MacPhail are also going to be let go, per SNY's Andy Martino.
