Mets outfielder Michael Conforto, who has been one of the most valuable outfielders in baseball since making his Major League debut in 2015, has been ranked among the Top 10 right fielders in baseball by MLB Network's The Shredder.

The 26-year-old Conforto, who hit .257/.363/.494 with 33 homers, 29 doubles, and 92 RBI in 151 games in 2019, came in at No. 9 on the list.

Conforto was one spot behind Joey Gallo and one spot ahead of Nicholas Castellanos.

Earlier this offseason, Brandon Nimmo checked in at No. 9 on The Shredder's rankings of the Top 10 center fielders in MLB.

Over the last three seasons, Conforto has combined to hit .257/.363/.492 with 88 homers (an average of 29 per season) while playing 413 games.

A serious shoulder injury toward the end of the 2017 season short-circuited what was Conforto's best year to date (he was hitting .279/.384/.555 at the time of the injury) and he admitted after the 2018 season that he rushed back to start that year and struggled a bit early on because of it.

In 2019, Conforto's .856 OPS was ninth-best among all qualified outfielders in the National League, slotting in behind Joc Pederson and ahead of Ryan Braun.

Conforto is expected to again get most of his starts in right field in 2020, with Nimmo in center field most days and J.D. Davis in left field. A potential trade (Starling Marte?) and/or the health of Yoenis Cespedes could lead to changes in the outfield, but neither would have much of an impact on Conforto.
