The Mets are getting some help for their bullpen.

On Monday the acquired Rays reliever Wilmer Font for cash or a player to be named later, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com

Font, 28, has allowed nine runs in 15 innings (5.79 ERA) this year but has the makeup to be a key depth piece in the pen.

Font has a mid-90s fastball, mid-80s slider and a mid-70s curve and while he has not had favorable numbers in the majors, he has a 3.50 FIP and xFIP this year and is worth 0.2 Wins Above Replacement, according to MetsBlog contributor Joe DeMayo
