The Mets made two minor moves on Saturday as they continue to add depth to the roster.

In a trade with the Brewers, the Mets acquired outfielder Keon Broxton in exchange for right-hand pitchers Bobby Wahl and Adam Hill and infielder Felix Valerio.

The Mets also signed left-handed pitcher Hector Santiago to a minor-league deal, per SNY's Andy Martino.

Broxton, 28, is a career .221/.313/.421 hitter in four seasons with the Brewers and Pirates. He bounced back-and-forth last season between the Brewers and Triple-A but is known more for his glove as he will likely split time in center fielder Juan Lagares.

"Keon is a dynamic athlete with the ability to impact the game in the outfield, on the bases and with his bat," Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen said in a press release. "He adds depth to our major league roster for 2019 and into the future."

The Mets had been in the market for a center fielder and had interest in free-agent A.J. Pollock, but his pricetag appeared to be too high for Van Wagenen.

Santiago, 31, is an eight-year veteran who went 6-3 with a 4.50 ERA (5.09 FIP) and struck out 103 batters in 102 innings last season with the White Sox. He will earn $2 million if he reaches the majors and $25,000 every month in the minors, plus incentives, according to Fancred's Jon Heyman.
