I don't care if the next GM of the Mets has or doesn't have an MBA. I don't care if he or she did or didn't go to an Ivy League school. I don't care if they're young or old, from the organization or not. I don't care if they did or didn't play baseball. He or she doesn't need to be an expert in statistical and evidence-based analysis and evaluations. And, they don't need to be from New York...
My only requirement is that he or she understands and is willing to meet the demands of the market and fans, that they are open to ideas and 100 percent down for making big moves.
Most important, they need to able to be creative and adaptable enough so he or she can do the above over and over and over again until the team is a perennial postseason team in position to win the World Series every season.
