The Giants let Landon Collins walk, and now they'll be facing a motivated three-time Pro Bowler twice each season through 2024.

Collins, who signed a six-year deal with the Redskins -- with $45 million guaranteed -- talked Thursday about facing his former team.

"Yes the game is circled on my calendar," Collins said during a radio appearance on 106.7 in Washington, D.C.

The Giants let Collins enter free agency after they declined to franchise tag and never had serious conversations with him about a long-term contract, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.

The franchise tag would have guaranteed Collins, 25, $11.15 million for the 2019 season but his new deal with the Redskins gives him a $14.1 million annual average salary.

There is a possibility the Giants will receive a third-round compensatory draft pick for losing Collins.

The 25-year-old Collins wanted to sign a long-term deal with the Giants, but grew frustrated after the team didn't offer him one -- cleaning out his locker in February while suggesting he didn't expect to return to the team.

Collins was a second-round draft pick by then-GM Jerry Reese in 2014 but had a breakout season in 2015, being named First Team All-Pro and selected to his first Pro Bowl. He led the team with 125 tackles, had four sacks and five interceptions that season.

He continued to be a force on defense, selected as the Giants' lone Pro Bowler in 2017 and receiving the honor again in 2018 despite missing the last four games of the season with shoulder surgery.
