Five things to know from Wednesday's game

1) The Knicks commanded Wednesday night's game from start to nearly the finish, but they let a huge lead crumble in the fourth quarter. Trae Young carried the Hawks with a whopping 27 points in the fourth quarter alone. The Knicks led by as many as 23 points on the night, but the Hawks were able to fight back to send the game into overtime. The Knicks were able to hold on for the win.

2) Frank Ntilikina entered the game looking to build off Tuesday night's career-best 20 points, but he just didn't have the same scoring punch on Wednesday. Ntilikina ended the night with eight points on one-of-seven shooting. He also had just two assists.

3) RJ Barrett had a huge night for the Knicks. The rookie scored 26 points on 9-of-14 shooting, knocking down two threes and hitting all six of his free throw attempts.

4) Julius Randle led the Knicks in scoring on the evening, pouring in 33 points to go with 11 rebounds. Randle also knocked down three three-pointers and was key for the Knicks down the stretch.

5) In an eerie moment, the Hawks brought Vince Carter off the bench in the final minute of overtime. Carter, who has played 22 seasons in the NBA, has announced that this season will be his last, and with the future of the 2019-20 season unknown due to coronavirus, Carter was brought in for what could potentially be his last NBA game. The Knicks left Carter open, and he knocked down a three-pointer on his only attempt.
