Knicks owner James Dolan joined ESPN's "The Michael Kay Show" on Tuesday to clarify the situation that occurred on Saturday night where a Knicks fan yelled "Sell the team!" toward Dolan, who decided to throw the fan out of Madison Square Garden for good.

And that is exactly what will happen to this fan after Dolan found out the confrontation was pre-meditated.

"It appears that this gentleman and his friends planned to do this," Dolan said. "As soon as they were done with it, it was immediately sold to TMZ."

Dolan said the initial plan after the TMZ video went viral was to invite the fan back for the team's next game. But that plan changed after seeing tape that the fan had followed Dolan around the arena until that moment in the tunnel.

"What I was thinking is that we'd invite him back to the next game -- take him back and have him meet the team, see what's going on...Now that it was clear this whole thing was planned, I can't see him coming back in."

Looking back, Dolan admitted "not for nothing, I shouldn't have taken the bait," and walked into the tunnel without answering back to the disgruntled fan. It wasn't the greatest optics for Knicks fans to see Dolan reacting to the fan, especially with the state the franchise is in at the moment.

The Knicks are the worst team in the NBA with a 13-54 record, having lost their last six games. And the franchise, despite being the most valuable in the league, has lost the most games in the NBA in the last 20 years.

But, to answer the fan's demand, Dolan told Kay, Don LaGreca, and Peter Rosenberg multiple times during the lengthy interview that he won't be selling the Knicks. Even if someone offered the team $6 billion dollars, as Kay questioned.

"I'm not a quitter, I don't do that," he said. "Just for the record, I'm not selling the team."
