Outfielder Aaron Judge is among four Yankees who were named to the All-Star Game on Sunday.

Judge, whose 25 home runs have him in a tie for second for the major-league lead, was voted into his second straight All-Star Game and will start alongside the Angels' Mike Trout and Boston's Mookie Betts for the American League by finishing among the top three vote-getters among AL outfielders.

Rookie second baseman Gleyber Torres is the only other Yankees position player to make the roster, while starting pitcher Luis Severino and reliever Aroldis Chapman were also selected.

Judge, last year's Home Run Derby champion, has said throughout this season he would not be vying for a repeat in 2018 despite being among the league leaders. The 26-year-old Judge has a .280/.399/.572 batting line this season, his OPS only trailing those of Betts, Trout, J.D. Martinez and Jose Ramirez.

Torres, who is currently on the disabled list with a hip injury, reached his first All-Star Game in his first season in the majors. The 21-year-old Torres is hitting .294 with 15 home runs and 42 RBIs in 63 games so far.

Severino, meanwhile, is a contender to start the All-Star Game, as his 14 wins lead the majors and his 2.12 ERA ranks second in the American League. New York's 24-year-old ace has 143 strikeouts in 123 1/3 innings, though Red Sox ace Chris Sale, who is 9-4 with a 2.36 ERA and 176 strikeouts in 122 innings, and the Indians' Corey Kluber, who is 12-4 with a 2.49 ERA and 123 strikeouts in 126 1/3 innings, will also surely be in consideration.

Chapman, who has recently been dealing with left knee tendinitis, makes his fifth All-Star Game and first since 2015. His 24 saves rank third in the AL, and his 1.42 ERA is better than those of Edwin Diaz and Craig Kimbrel. Chapman has totaled 66 strikeouts in 38 innings, and his K/9 rate is second only to teammate Dellin Betances.

The All-Star Game is July 17 at Nationals Park.

Judge has not turned in a long stretch in which he seems to hit homer after homer, but his overall numbers are not far off his amazing Rookie-of-the-Year pace. While Judge has not be able to get on an extended hot streak, he's also been able to refrain from falling into a lengthy drought at the plate.

Torres put together a historically torrid streak to kick off his career and he's manufactured plenty of clutch hits through his first 241 plate appearances in the big leagues. It will be interesting to see if he's back to full strength in time for the game, and if so, we have to wonder if he'll even play.

Severino not only made his second All-Star team -- he might have a chance to be named the starter to this one based on his fantastic season thus far. Severino is no longer an up-and-coming star; he's among the best starting pitchers in the entire game.

Chapman is pitching like the reliever the Yankees expected when they inked him to a five-year, $86 million before last season. Chapman's become every bit as much a pitcher this season as he is a flame-thrower. Chapman's confidence in his off-speed pitches have magnified his high-velocity offerings, making him extremely difficult to hit this season.
