The Jets are reuniting Aaron Rodgers with another receiver from his Green Bay Packers days.

New York is trading for Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes confirms.

The deal will see the Jets send the Raiders a conditional third-round pick, according to multiple reports.

Shortly after the trade was reported, but before it was official, Adams joined Rodgers during his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

"We're back, man, we're back," Adams said.

Rodgers noted that he was "really excited."

The Adams acquisition now gives the Jets and Rodgers another receiving threat to go alongside third-year wideout Garrett Wilson, Mike Williams and Allen Lazard, who was also in the Packers wide receiver room with Adams from 2018-2021.

Now it's up to offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and passing game coordinator Todd Downing, who recently took over play-calling duties, to put it all together.

"I think we’ll figure that out in the next couple of days how all of these pieces kind of fit together," said interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. "It’s an exciting and a good problem to have because we’ve got a lot of different guys with a lot of different skill sets that can do a lot of different things so Todd and his staff will have some sleepless nights with some good problems."

Adams-to-the-Jets trade rumors had been prevalent since Rodgers arrived in New York prior to last season. However, things were amplified this year when Adams appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast and said he wouldn’t mind reuniting with his former quarterback.

“Well, I’ll answer it like this: If I’m gonna be reunited with anybody, it would be Aaron — or relocated and be anywhere, it’d be with Aaron,” Adams said.

Adams would eventually request a trade days after the Raiders' 20-16 Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns — a game during which he was inactive due to a hamstring pull he suffered in practice.

After that, one Jets source told Hughes: “He wants to be here, and we want him here.”

The veteran receiver missed his third straight game on Sunday when the Raiders played the Pittsburgh Steelers -- the same team New York will face on Sunday Night Football.

Ulbrich mentioned to reporters on Tuesday that he hopes Adams can play, "but it's too early to assess right now."

In three games this season with Las Vegas, Adams has 18 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown. Over 37 career games with the Raiders, Adams has 221 catches for 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Adams has a cap hit of $11.59 million this season, and $44.1 million in both 2025 and 2026. He would be a free agent after the 2026 season. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders will not be paying any of Adams' remaining salary, meaning the Jets will be taking on all of it.

Adams and Rodgers played eight seasons together (2014-21). In that time, Adams accumulated 669 receptions for 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns. He also made the Pro Bowl six times and two All-Pro first teams in Green Bay.

"You’re gonna see exactly the reflection of a relationship [Adams has] with Aaron, the synergy that they’ve had for so long," Ulbrich said. "So it’s an exciting time to be a Jet in that way."
