The Jets defense struggled against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, giving up 278 yards passing and another 111 yards rushing.

Star safety Jamal Adams led the team with six total tackles (five solo) and had one pass defended in the 29-15 loss. Despite his performance, Adams took full blame after the game.

"But at the end of the day, man I'm strong enough, man you can put it on me," Adams said. "I'm not going to run from anybody, I never have, never will. But at the end of the day man, we gotta keep our faith. I think that's the main thing to lean on right now, it's the faith. And I'm not even talking about the faith in the locker room, I'm talking about the man upstairs. When you go through tough times you gotta lean on him."

Early in the game, Jags quarterback Gardner Minshew found wide receiver Keelan Cole in the back of the end zone for a six yard touchdown pass. Adams was the defensive back in coverage on that play, and stepped up, allowing for Cole to get open behind him.

"Yeah I anticipated the play," Adams said. "I guessed wrong. I thought he was gonna run an out, but he didn't. It happens. People kinda expect me not to make a mistake in a way. It is what it is man. I'm out there trying to play ball, trying to make plays for this team. I anticipated wrong, I take the blame. I don't run from it, I don't run from any adversity. I'm a man. So I'm gonna take it, it is what it is."

Adams was visibly frustrated in the locker room, but made it clear all he wants to do is win.

"I just want to win," Adams said. "All we can do is continue to work, continue to stay together in this room... We're focused on trying to win a ball game. It's tough, but we're going to battle."
