Running back Le'Veon Bell didn't have the first season he expected to with the Jets, as he failed to reach the 1000-yard rushing mark.

"It's been a different season," Bell said. "I didn't break a thousand yards. It's disappointing. Obviously you know, that's like a marker every running back sets to get a thousand yards, but it didn't happen this year. I just got to work harder and get better for next year."

Bell finished the season with 789 rushing yards and three touchdowns in 15 games.

He ran for over 1000-yards three times during his five-year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His best season came in 2014, when he ran for 1361 yards and eight touchdowns. Bell also had 83 receptions for 854 yards that season, earning him a Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro honors.

His best rushing game for the Jets came in Week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens, as he had 87 yards on the ground.

Despite his production, Bell looks forward to next season with the Jets after the team won six of their last eight games.

"We started getting the ship sailing in the right direction," Bell said. "We started finding our groove and find out what exactly our image was going to be... Once we found it, we've been playing good football and winning games. I look forward to the offseason and obviously getting better. Getting in crazy shape, and building on what we got."
