After missing the 2017 season with a bulging disk in his neck, Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa is excited to return to the field and make a difference for the team in 2018.

The 26-year-old Enunwa, who caught 58 passes for 857 yards and four touchdowns in 2016, was a full participant in practice on Saturday and wore his no-contact jersey during team drills on Sunday.

"It's definitely not something that I can be playing light about," Enunwa said, according to the New York Post's Mollie Walke. "But I know that it's just little tweaks in my game that I can do and be smarter about, especially like hitting guys with my head up. And then I don't have to worry too much about it."

While the Jets' receiving corps also feature Jermaine Kearse, Robby Anderson and Terrelle Pryor, among others, head coach Todd Bowles said the 6-foot-2, 225-pound Enunwa adds a lot to New York's offense

"I'm just happy to see him out there now running around right now, doing plays," Bowles said. "But obviously when he's healthy, he adds some depth and he adds some speed and he adds some power to our offense."

Enunwa, who signed a one-year, $2.9 million deal in the offseason, said he hopes he can use this season to earn a longer-term contract, although he added his focus is on his playing abilities and not the money.

"I'm not thinking too much about the contract because I have my own personal goals, and I know that those personal goals will help the team's goals and will eventually help my contract goals," he said. "For me, it's just going out there and performing and showing what I can do."
