The Jets lost C.J. Mosley and Quinnen Williams to injury during Sunday's brutal loss to the Bills, and head coach Adam Gase said Monday that the team is still evaluating the extent of the injuries.

"We have a better idea, we're still kind of trying to figure out how it's gonna look for practice when we go Wednesday -- whether or not we'll have to hold guys out or be able to do something limited-wise. I'd say right now these guys are trending as out for Wednesday's practice, but we're still holding out hope to see if there's anything we can do earlier in the week compared to later."

Asked if the Mosley injury wouldn't be a long-term, multiple weeks kind of thing, Gase was non-committal.

"It's hard for me to tell because it's all about how he reacts, you know all these soft tissue injuries," Gase said. What he had was a groin. Anything soft tissue, it's all just kind of subjective on how they feel. It gets so day-to-day, any kind of setback could prolong it. We just kind of gotta see how he feels every day before we get going."

As far as Williams, Gase confirmed that he had sprained his ankle, but -- like Mosley -- the extent of the sprain is not yet known.

"Quinnen came out of it with an ankle sprain," Gase said. "I think they had him in a boot. He's walking around in the boot failry well, which normally you see the guy with a little bit of a hobble. Just kind of gonna see how it plays out."

The Jets host the Browns on Monday night, so both players will have an extra day to recover with their status still up in the air.
