Jets S Jamal Adams jokingly blamed Tuesday's 'liking' of a tweet that linked him to signing a future mega-deal with the Cowboys on an innocent case of "Twitter fingers."

That's what he told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News on Thursday, correcting his social media slip-up with a declaration of his love for the Jets.

"I would love to be a Jet for life… and finish my career here," Adams told the Daily News. "God willing, that's definitely the plan…. That would be a dream come true. There's not that many guys that have played this game who have stuck with one team. That would be an honor. I would love to."

Adams 'liked' a tweet from The Athletic's Calvin Watkins that said, "If I'm the Cowboys, and I'm not, I give Jamal Adams whatever he wants if he becomes a free agent in 2020."

But the Jets' 2017 first-round pick said it was nothing serious.

"My hand slipped, dude," he said, per the Daily News. "I was reading it…. I had Twitter fingers. But no, honestly, I liked the tweet because (Watkins) saw my value and I just respected that. So that's really why I liked it. At the end of the day, I love being a part of the Jets. I love being here. And I wouldn't trade it for the world."

The Twitter slipup came two days after Adams vented anger following the Jets' third straight loss Sunday in Miami.

"I'm sick of losing," Adams had said. "It pisses me off every time. I'm not a loser. I want to get back on the winning track. We've lost three straight? Come on, man."

The 23-year-old has 63 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles and one interception in nine games this season.
