As the dust settles after the Mets and manager Carlos Beltran mutually parted ways on Thursday, the team has started their second managerial search of the offseason, with GM Brodie Van Wagenen saying the team is considering internal and external candidates.

Here are the odds for who the Mets will choose to replace Beltran, per betonline.ag.

Of those listed above, Rojas has already come up internally as a serious candidate, reported SNY's Andy Martino, who added that Collins is not expected to be a candidate.

Perez, who was a finalist for the job along with Derek Shelton before the Mets hired Beltran, said Thursday night that he had not yet heard from the team.

If the Mets want to go internal but don't choose Rojas, they can turn to either Meulens (their bench coach) or DeFrancesco (their first base coach), who has a lot of managerial experience in the minors.

When it comes to Showalter, it would be surprising if the Mets turned to him since they didn't interview him the first time around. But SNY contributor John Harper made the case on Thursday that Showalter is a perfect fit.

Long, a former Mets coach who was a candidate for manager in 2017 before Mickey Callaway was hired, is currently the hitting coach for the Nationals.
