Nate Solder left the field in the middle of the second quarter of the Giants-Jets matchup Sunday and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with a concussion.

Solder limped off the field and went into the medical tent on the sideline with less than eight minutes to play in the half, missing the remainder of that drive--Eric Smith made his NFL debut at left tackle for the Giants in Solder's absence.

The Giants scored their second touchdown of the game on the drive, but a bad snap by Zak DeOssie resulted in the Riley Dixon missing on a throw into the end zone for a two-point conversion. As a result, the Giants were still down 14-13.

The Giants already came into Sunday with Jon Halapio and Mike Remmers inactive on the offensive line, but after a slow start to the game, the line has held up to help bring the Giants back from a 14-0 deficit.

Solder is in the second year of a four year, $62 million contract he signed with the Giants prior to the 2018 season. Despite being the highest paid offensive lineman in the league, Solder has struggled since leaving the Patriots to join Big Blue.
