Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils co-owner Michael Rubin has begun a new initiative called the "All In Challenge," using his Fanatics website to raise money for coronavirus relief.
Whether it's celebrity one-on-one dinners, playing a round of golf in your hometown with Peyton Manning, or the grand prize of witnessing all of sports' most important games like the Super Bowl, World Series, and NBA Finals all in one year, fans can donate money to enter chances to win whatever events they so choose. And in the end, the money goes 100 percent toward the causes Rubin is raising these charitable donations for -- to help those affected by coronavirus.
While there are simple $10 donations to win a chance at one of these prizes, there are also events that are being auctioned off to the highest bidder. A few of them involve the Giants.
After being named MVP of Super Bowl XLVI, Giants QB Eli Manning was awarded a 2012 Corvette as his prize. Now, Manning is auctioning off the car, which has 5,830 miles on it, according to the item listing.
Titanium in color, the car will be personally delivered to the winner's door by Manning himself. And even if the winner is from outside of the tri-state area, Manning will fly there in person to be there when the car is shipped.
"Anything that's going to go out and help those that have been on the front lines of this pandemic and help the elderly, kids, whoever needs food, I'm all in for that," Manning said in a video. "What I'm going to give is my ... Super Bowl-winning Corvette that I got, and what I'll do is I will actually come and hand-deliver this to whoever wins it and we'll get to hang out for a little bit, chat, get to meet your friends and family, maybe go for lunch and maybe I'll even teach you how to handle this bad boy."
As of this article's publishing on Wednesday evening, the current bid stands at $70,000.
Meanwhile, another Fanatics item up for purchase includes a meet-and-greet with Saquon Barkley that includes a jet ride to a Giants game, and another includes taking part in the coin toss as Giants' honorary captain during a game.
One hundred percent of the money raised through this auction will go directly to Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry.
