Odell Beckham Jr. had more criticism for his former team when he let loose in an interview published Tuesday by Sports Illustrated.
The in-depth piece by Ben Baskin shared more of Beckham's frustrations with the trade that sent him from the Giants to the Browns.
Beckham told SI that New York had better trade offers but shipped the star wide receiver "to die" in Cleveland.
"This wasn't no business move," Beckham told SI. "This was personal. They thought they'd send me here to die."
After practice Tuesday, NJ Advance Media's Ryan Dunleavy and Darryl Slater asked several Giants about Beckham's latest comments.
Among the former teammates that Dunleavy and Slater spoke to, long snapper and team captain Zak DeOssie's words carried weight.
"I don't waste any sleep on it -- or thought," DeOssie, who has been in New York since 2007 and is the team's second-longest-tenured Giant after quarterback Eli Manning (2004), told NJ Advance Media. "It has nothing to do with what we're trying to do here. Don't care about it. I wish Odell nothing but the best. Don't care what he has to say about here."
Running back Wayne Gallman believed Beckham would "move on on his own time." Wide receiver Bennie Fowler echoed those sentiments and said Beckham "is who he is."
Answers from the Giants capped a day-long ordeal of what became back-and-forth press with the Browns, who were in the news between Beckham's story and second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield's critical comments on rookie Daniel Jones from an interview with GQ conducted in May that was also published Tuesday.
After practice Tuesday, both Jones and head coach Pat Shurmur addressed the Jones situation.
While Mayfield walked back his Jones take, Beckham remained silent on social media Tuesday.
