Former MLB reliever Carter Capps announced on Twitter that he will be joining the Mets as a minor league pitching coach/coordinator. He recently worked at Driveline Baseball, the popular data-driven baseball training facility.

He made his MLB-debut in 2012, pitching in 18 games that season. Capps played in Seattle for two seasons before getting traded to the Miami Marlins in 2014. He played two seasons with the Marlins, and was then traded to the San Diego Padres where he played his last season in the league.

Over 129 career games, Capps owns a 4-3 record with a 4.21 ERA and 184 strikeouts.
