Former Jets and Giants quarterback Geno Smith will have yet another new team this season.
The 28-year-old quarterback is expected to sign with the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Smith, who was drafted in the second round by the Jets in 2013, joins Paxton Lynch as the potential backup options for Russell Wilson in Seattle.
The Seahawks will be Smith's fourth team in the last four years. He was a backup with the Los Angeles Chargers last season after serving as Eli Manning's backup with the Giants in 2017.
Smith started one game with the Giants after then-head coach Ben McAdoo made the decision to bench Manning and snap the quarterback's 210-game streak of consecutive starts with the team struggling at 2-9.
Smith has not been a full-time starting quarterback since his first two seasons with the Jets, in which he went 11-18 and threw 25 touchdowns to 34 interceptions in those seasons.
