New York Mets starter Max Scherzer explains why he left the game in the 6th inning on Wednesday night, revealing that he “felt a zing” on his left side and needed to leave the game to prevent a major injury. Scherzer will get an MRI Thursday morning to learn the extent of the issue he is dealing with, but he’s hopeful it’s not serious.
