Mets starter David Peterson pitched six strong innings but was outdueled by former Mets farmhand J.T. Ginn as the A's prevailed 3-1. Brandon Nimmo provided the lone bright spot for New York with a solo HR but the rest of the lineup managed just four hits on the day.
