The Mets traded infielder Asdrubal Cabrera to the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday, sources told SNY.tv's Andy Martino.
In exchange, the Mets acquired 23-year-old RHP Franklyn Kilome, who is ranked as the Phillies' No. 10 prospect by MLB.com.
Cabrera, 32, was hitting .277 with 18 home runs and 58 RBIs in 98 games this season. He is in the final year of a three-year, $24.75 million deal.

"I had fun," Cabrera said. "It was a really good experience to play for the New York Mets."
Kilome is 4-6 with a 4.24 ERA with Double-A Reading this season. A 6-foot-6, 175-pound starting pitcher, Kilome has a 70-grade fastball, a 55-grade curveball and a 45-grade changeup in his repertoire, according to MLB.com, and projects as someone who could reach the majors by next season.
"Pure stuff-wise, Kilome is as good as just about any pitching prospect in the system, with a fastball that touches the upper-90s consistently combined with a curve that often flashes plus," MLB.com writes. "His changeup has improved and it could eventually become an average third pitch, something softer to distrupt hitters' timing. He's generally around the strike zone, though his command has been inconsistent as he is still learning to get all of his 6-foot-6 frame in sync on a regular basis."
It's the first time the Mets traded with the Phillies since July 27, 2001, when they traded Turk Wendell and Dennis Cook for Bruce Chen and Adam Walker.
