New York Post sports photographer Anthony Causi, who died on Sunday due to coronavirus, was beloved by colleagues and the players whose images he captured.

On Monday, Mets players remembered Causi.

"This is devastating," Noah Syndergaard said. "Anthony was one of the best in the business. A true professional. He was kind, genuine, and good personal friend. He will be missed by all who knew him."

"One of the most genuine guys in the game of baseball," said Marcus Stroman. "Brought nothing but positive vibes every day. May your soul Rest In Peace!"

"We lost an incredible photographer and dear friend in Anthony Causi," Robinson Cano said. Thoughts and prayers are with his family."

GM Brodie Van Wagenen also shared a remembrance of Causi.

"Anthony Causi was an artist and a storyteller," Van Wagenen wrote. "Through his lens, he captured people, places and priceless moments. We lost a kind and talented man. Thank you Anthony for your generosity and your friendship. Your photos and your posts will be forever cherished."

"On behalf of the entire Mets organization, we are deeply saddened to learn of Anthony's passing," Mets COO Jeff Wilpon said in a statement on Sunday. "He was a charismatic photographer who brought fans closer to the action with his breathtaking images of the Mets. More importantly, he was a friend to so many of us through his numerous spring trainings in Port St. Lucie as well as being a fixture at Citi Field. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, Romina, son John, daughter Mia and the entire family."
