Mets OF Yoenis Cespedes (hip, quad) "checked out well" during physical therapy on Monday and may ramp up his activity on Tuesday, but is not yet cleared for baseball activity, manager Mickey Callaway said.

Cespedes played two rehab games with Binghamton last week before suffering a setback.

The 32-year-old Cespedes has been out since May 14, when he suffered a mild strain of his right hip flexor -- an issue that GM Sandy Alderson recently suggested was chronic.

Cespedes is hitting .255/.316/.474 with eight home runs and 28 RBI in 37 games this season.
