Teams engaged with the Mets on trade talks expected on Friday morning that Asdrubal Cabrera will be traded soon.

Cabrera will not bring back much value, but the Mets are likely to move on him before turning full attention to Zack Wheeler, who should net a team's top 10 prospect.

The Cubs, Reds and Brewers are among the teams talking to the Mets about Wheeler, according to major league sources.

Cabrera, 32, is hitting .277 with 18 home runs and 58 RBIs through 98 games this season. After Thursday's game, he said the trade rumors are out of his control.
