Marcus Stroman had only allowed one run over four innings, but the Mets pulled him from the game with what they called left hamstring tightness.

It was observed by the SNY booth that head trainer Brian Chicklo was checking out Stroman's hand before his at-bat, but that wasn't the case per the official announcement.

Stroman tossed just 62 pitches, allowing five hits and that one earned run while striking out one and walking one over that span.

After the game, manager Mickey Callaway gave an update on the starting pitcher's health.

"Stroman got checked out, got an MRI and we're not concerned at this point. We'll have to check on him in the morning, but it's not concerning at this point. It's tightness," Callaway said.

The next time Stroman would appear in the Mets rotation would likely be the series opener against the Cubs next Tuesday if all plays out the way it has been.
