Six Takeaways from Tuesday's game

1) Facing elimination on their home ice, the Penguins got off on the board in a hurry to kick off the game. Jake Guentzel opened up the scoring with assists from Sidney Crosby and Jared McCann in the first 35 seconds of this one.

2) Pittsburgh may have gotten off to the hot start, but Robin Lehner didn't let anything else passed him. Lehner made 32 saves, and the islanders defense was stout to help out as well. Scott Mayfield should be credited with a save himself, as he got in front of a Crosby shot that should've tied the game.

3) Jordan Eberle should be the MVP of this series, as he scored his fourth goal in just as many games tonight. He finished off a beautiful 2-on-1 opportunity to quickly tie the game at one apiece.

4) Brock Nelson put home the second goal for the Islanders after Josh Bailey delivered a strike assist to the front of the net that Nelson just had to tap in. Tom Kuhnhackl also got the assist.

5) Tempers definitely flared tonight in Pittsburgh, as there were multiple instances where the striped shirts needed to step in to break up scuffles. Even Lehner got in one with Patric Hornqvist in front of the Islanders' net. The Penguins were trying to get some type of momentum, but the Isles never let it slip from their bench.

6) To ice the series sweep, Josh Bailey whipped an open ice shot into an empty Penguins net for the team's third goal. Now the Islanders move onto the next round where they await the winner of the Capitals-Hurricanes series.
