Following Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskin's performance in the Rose Bowl on Tuesday, the redshirt sophomore's draft stock appears to be on the rise should he declare for the NFL Draft.
The 21-year-old has just 14 collegiate starts under his belt but is coming off a season in which he set school and Big Ten records and may have shown just enough to catapult himself up teams' draft boards and become the first Big Ten quarterback taken in the first round since Kerry Collins in 1995.
The Giants hold the sixth overall pick of the draft and even if 38-year-old Eli Manning returns next season, they may be interested in selecting the Ohio State quarterback if he is available at their pick to succeed Manning.
Yet the examples of quarterbacks to enter the NFL Draft with just one year of experience is a mixed bag: Mitchell Trubisky is the most recent while Cardale Jones, Brock Osweiler, Cam Newton and Mark Sanchez are among others.
