The Yankees left no question as to who was winning this series on Sunday, defeating the Orioles 6-0 at Camden Yards.

Takeaways from the game

1) Aaron Judge hit his fourth homer in just five games since the All-Star break, smashing a hanging curveball from Dean Kremer 456 feet over the massive left field fence at Camden Yards to make it 3-0. This came after DJ LeMahieu hit an RBI double to put the Yanks on the board first.

2) Nestor Cortes worked fast in the hot weather and it worked out, as he continues to pitch well. He tossed six scoreless innings, scattering six hits and striking out seven. His ERA is down to 2.48 on the year.

3) If you employ a four-man outfield, it better work. Instead, it almost cost the Yankees when an Adley Rutschman deep fly ball to left field was dropped by Gleyber Torres at the wall for a double. Joey Gallo looked to have it but didn't want to impede on Torres. Maybe he should've, but either way Cortes worked out of trouble in the second.

4) Jose Trevino reminded the O's why he was an All-Star. He collected his first career four-hit game, one of those hits being an RBI double. After an Isiah Kiner-Falefa RBI single with two outs to make it 4-0, Trevino added that double, his third hit of the day, to right field to push the lead to five.

5) Clarke Schmidt did a fantastic job out of the 'pen for Cortes. He went three innings, giving up no runs and two hits while walking two and striking out three. And because it was three innings, it counts as a save for Schmidt, the first of his career.

6) All of the Yankees runs on the day came with two outs, which was a sigh of relief considering they went 1-for-14 the night before with runners in scoring position.
