Down 2-0 after six innings, the Yankees came back in the following two frames to take the lead and eventually win the game, 3-2, and series over the Nationals.

Six things to know from Sunday's game

1. Aaron Boone made some interesting roster moves for Sunday's game, starting Miguel Andujar at left field for the first time in his career and giving RHP Jonathan Loaisiga the start on the mound in place of RHP Masahiro Tanaka, who's getting some more practice in after missing most of Summer Camp with a head injury.

Boone said before the game Loaisiga would throw about 50 pitches, and he did just that, exiting the game after 51 pitches and allowing two hits with three strikeouts, a walk and one home run in three innings.

2. Trea Turner homered off Loaisiga with two outs in the bottom of the third to get the scoring started Sunday and give the Nationals a 1-0 lead.

The Nationals tacked on two more hits and another run off RHP David Hale in the fourth to stretch the lead a bit.

3. LHP Patrick Corbin was in control for most of 6.1 innings of play, holding the Yankees to just one hit until SS Gleyber Torres crushed a home run to left to send him to the dugout. He ended the day with eight strikeouts, two hits and one run allowed.

A home run from 1B Luke Voit later in the top of the seventh tied things up at two apiece.

4. Torres got his third hit and second RBI of the game at the top of the eighth to give the Yankees their first lead of the game. New York eventually had the bases loaded after that but couldn't bring anymore runs in to extend their one-run lead.

5. Despite a few scares down the stretch -- including a bases loaded situation in the third -- the Yankees managed to hold on and get the 3-2 win. LHP Zack Britton picked up the first New York save of the season.

6. The Yankees' power hitters struggled in the series finale, with RF Aaron Judge going 0-4 on the day and DH Giancarlo Stanton striking out three times.
