Coming off a two-homer game against Cleveland on Friday night, Yankees outfielder Joey Gallo left Saturday afternoon’s game against the Indians due to neck tightness.

Gallo popped out in foul territory in his only at-bat of the game in the second inning and grimaced on the swing, and was replaced by Tyler Wade in left field to begin the top of the fourth.

After the team's 11-3 loss to the Indians, manager Aaron Boone gave an update on Gallo's status.

"We'll see, he got some treatment on it last night and then I think was just trying to work through it all morning with different stretches and stuff," Boone said. "But I think after his first at-bat it was just barking too much on him, so we'll see. Got some more treatment obviously during the game, so we'll see where we're at for tomorrow."

As pointed out on the YES Network broadcast, Gallo appeared to be feeling the tightness in Friday’s game as well, as he was seen grabbing at his neck/shoulder area in the dugout.

Coming into Saturday's game, Gallo was slashing .167/.311/.447 with 12 homers and 20 RBI in 45 games with the Bombers.

Boone added that he won't have additional testing at this time, and hopes for the slugger to be back out there on Sunday.

"Hopefully it's just something where the neck goes out on you, sleep on it wrong or whatever, I've been there before where it really affects your swing," Boone said. "So hopefully it's something that they can work their way out of there, and be something that potentially, hopefully he's back in there tomorrow, but we'll see."
