1) Lynn was solid, earning the win after allowing just two runs on three hits and walking no one in six innings. The veteran right-hander struck out two.

2) McCutchen's homer led off the ballgame. It was his second home run as a Yankee and his second in as many days.

3) Romine went deep in the seventh to break a 2-2 tie. With his career-high 10th home run, the catcher become the 10th Yankee to reach double-digit homers this season.

4) Didi Gregorius went 0-for-3 in his first start since returning from a heel injury.

5) A pair of sacrifice flies by Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres accounted for the other Yankees runs.

6) After Zach Britton and David Robertson each worked a scoreless frame, Betances entered for the save opportunity in the ninth. The right-hander allowed a hit, plunked Robinson Cano and walked Nelson Cruz to load the bases with one out. However, Betances struck out Denard Span and Kyle Seager to end the game.
