Yankees SS Didi Gregorius said he is planning to begin swinging a bat on Monday, reports Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

The 28-year-old Gregorius is aiming to return to the Yankees by or around the minimum 10 days on the DL.

Gregorius landed on the DL retroactive to Aug. 20 with a left heel contusion. He was injured when he collided with Kendrys Morales at first base.

Gregorius is hitting .270 with 22 home runs and 74 RBI in 118 games this season for the Yankees.
