Cody Bellinger has won himself another Gold Glove Award.

The Yankees left fielder picked up his second career Gold Glove on Sunday, beating out the Rangers' Wyatt Langford and the Rays' Chandler Simpson for one of this year's top defensive honors. Bellinger won the 2019 NL Gold Glove during his MVP season with the Dodgers, but he can now add the AL version to his growing trophy case.

The 31-year-old led all left fielders in DRS (21) and FRV (8) and was second in OAA (6).

Max Fried was the only Yankee to win the award last season, and with Bellinger's win, at least one Bronx Bomber has won the award in back-to-back years and three of the last four. Bellinger is the first Yankees outfielder to win the award since Joey Gallo in 2021, when he split time with the Rangers that year. But for an outfielder to spend the whole season with the Yankees, you'll have to go back to 2016, when Brett Gardner won.

Austin Wells narrowly missed out on winning his first Gold Glove Award. The Yankees backstop was beaten out by the Tigers' Dillon Dingler.

While Wells struggled offensively, his defense continued to improve this season, leading to the top defensive prize. According to Baseball Savant, the 27-year-old is in the 92nd percentile in blocks above average (9) and in the 95th percentile in framing (7). While his caught-stealing average (-3) and pop time (1.97) rank low, his work behind the plate while managing one of the best starting rotations in the majors earned Wells his first nomination.

Wells was hoping to be the first Yankees backstop since Jose Trevino (2022) to win a Gold Glove.

Jose Caballero, the third Yankee to be nominated for a Gold Glove in 2026, missed out on the victory, losing out tothe Rangers' Ezequiel Duran in the utility category.

The 30-year-old was hoping to be the second Yankee to win the award in that category after DJ LeMahieu was the inaugural AL winner back in 2022.
