Former Yankees hurler CC Sabathia has been vocal through his social media in how he feels about the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer.
Sabathia has posted numerous times about Floyd, with one quoting exactly what he said while officer Derek Chauvin was prone of his neck with his knee. He also participated in "Blackout Tuesday" and urged his followers to go vote in the primaries to help enact change.
But on Wednesday, Sabathia -- someone who is never afraid to say how he feels -- posted a powerful and graphic image comparing Floyd's death to that of a lynching.
Sabathia didn't provide his own caption for the photo, but allowed it to talk for itself as it reads, "Same Story, Different Time..."
The MLB veteran, who retired this past season, isn't the only athlete who has spoken out about the recent events going on all over the country. Sabathia has been involving his four kids as well.
Here they are on Thursday at a protest holding signs that read "Black Lives Matter," while also wearing T-shirts saying "Please, I can't breathe."
Teams, athletes, and many others are lending their voice to this cause, saying "Enough is Enough!" to racial injustice and police brutality. The Yankees released their own statement on Tuesday, which quoted the late Nelson Mandela.

Officer Chauvin had his charges raised to second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter on Wednesday, and the three other officers at the scene, who initially weren't charged but rather fired, are now facing charges of aiding and abetting murder following the death of the 46-year-old.
