Ben Rortvedt is dealing with a new injury and the Yankees have paused his rehab, according to NJ Advance Media's Brendan Kuty.
Previously dealing with an oblique injury, Rortvedt now has a bad knee that will force him to miss more time.
The Yanks acquired Rorttvedt in the trade in which they got Josh Donaldson and Isiah Kiner-Falefa in exchange for Gary Sanchez and Gio Urshela.
The Yankees have been dealing with offensive issues from the catcher position with both Kyle Higashioka and Jose Trevino, the latter whom they traded for shortly after Rortvedt's original injury. The pair has been elite defensively, though, and Rortvedt could provide more of the same.
