Yankees call up fresh arm from Triple-A to replace Jonathan Loaisiga

In need of a fresh arm after Tuesday's loss to the Astros, the Yankees optioned RHP Jonathan Loaisiga to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and called up RHP Joe Harvey to replace him.

Harvey, 27, has tossed 2.1 scoreless innings this season for Triple-A.

He posted a 1.67 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with 68 strikeouts in 59.1 innings (43 games) last season split between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A. 

Loaisiga allowed two runs on four hits (including one homer) while walking two and striking out five in 3.0 innings against the Astros Tuesday night, while throwing 71 pitches.

He allowed one run on four hits while walking three and striking out four in 4.0 innings on April 3 against the Tigers in what was his first start of the season.
