The Yankees have activated slugger Aaron Judge off the injured list, the club announced on Monday.

If Judge is in the lineup for the Yanks' first game of a three-game set with the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday, he will have missed 84 games due to a fractured rib injury that landed him on the IL at the start of June.

New York (81-62) gets the slugger back after 100 days out with 19 games left to play in the regular season as they stand 4.0 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the AL East and 2.0 games ahead of the Boston Red Sox, who won on Monday, for the top Wild Card spot.

Judge was seen on a post that was momentarily on social media on Monday at The Stadium taking a live BP, which manager Aaron Boone had said was the plan for him to do during the team's day off.

Judge, who did not play in any rehab games, took batting practice with the rest of the team during their West Coast road trip. His activation comes a month after he began "light activity" and when he declared his intention to make it back before the end of the regular season: "Oh, I’ll be back this season, I don’t know why I wouldn’t be," he said at the time.

In 59 games before the injury, the reigning AL MVP hit 17 home runs with 38 RBI and posted a .248/.375/.533 slash line for a .907 OPS (150 OPS+, 150 wRC+).

In a corresponding move to get Judge from the 60-day IL and back onto the 40-man roster, right-hander Chase Hampton was designated for assignment.
