The Yankees placed first baseman Luke Voit on the 10-day injured list prior to the All-Star break and he won't be there much longer, according to manager Aaron Boone.

Voit was injured (abdomen) running out a double against the Boston Red Sox during the team's London series earlier this month. Speaking to WFAN's Mike Francesa on Thursday, Boone said Voit will be returning by Monday at the latest.

"Voit will be sometime in the next couple of days. Probably won't be activated tomorrow. Might have him do one rehab game. We'll talk through that," Boone said. "He'll likely be back at some point this weekend or certainly first of next week."

Voit, 28, has a .280 batting average, 50 RBI and 17 home runs in 78 games this season.

Boone also updated the status of Dellin Betances and Luis Severino. Both are suffering from lat strains that have held them out the entire season.

"As far as Dellin Betances and Sevy, hopefully they're getting to the point this weekend where they might start their throwing program, getting ramped up. They're both doing well and getting to that point where they'll be ready to start throwing and then obviously the progression from there," Boone said.

While being honored at the All-Star Game this week, pitcher CC Sabathia also expressed that he believes both Betances and Severino will return.

"Just being around them and seeing how much they work and how much they want to be back, that makes me feel they will be back," Sabathia said via the New York Post. "It would be like making a big trade."

In regard to his team's overall heading into the second half of the year, Boone expressed confidence on Thursday.

"I told this to our guys right before they left, 'you put us in a good position to have a special season, but that's all it is to this point.' We've got some unfinished business," Boone said. "The guys have a really good frame of mind."
