The 2020 New York Yankees schedule was released on Monday, as the 2019 team was taking the field against the Baltimore Orioles in the Bronx.
The O's are worth mentioning, since that's the spot the new schedule begins. New York's 2020 season begins in Baltimore on March 26. It'll be the second-straight year the Yankees opened their season at Camden Yards. March 26 is the earliest date the Yankees have ever started a season.
The most famous rivalry in sports against the Red Sox is slated to start its 2020 edition in May from the 8th to the 10th, a weekend series at Yankee Stadium. The two sides will also faceoff in the Bronx in late July (7/24 - 7/26) and again in early September (9/8 - 9/10) as well.
The Subway Series against the Mets will feature two games at Yankee Stadium on July 7 and 8, with the second two at Citi Field on July 28 and 29. The two teams split the 2019 series.
Memorial Day will feature a home game against the Seattle Mariners. Both July 4th (Toronto) and Labor Day (Baltimore) feature American League East battles for the Yanks, but both are on the road.
Interleague play features meetings with the National League Central (Reds, Pirates, Cubs).
On Aug. 13, The Yankees will play the White Sox in the "MLB at Field of Dreams" contest, which will be the first-ever MLB game played in Iowa.
