The Jets led throughout but still found a way to lose 26-22 to the Titans in the last minute, falling to 3-9 on the season. Let's review three of the best and worst performances from Sunday's game.

Winners

RB Isaiah Crowell

Since his record setting performance against the Broncos in Week 5, Crowell had been averaging a disappointing 3.0 yards per carry, but he had a strong performance in Sunday's game. He finished with 98 yards on 21 carries, much of which came after contact as he finished runs strongly and made some tough yardage all day. He also had some good success bouncing runs to the outside.

Crowell also caught a season-high four passes, albeit that they only accounted for nine yards. This was his third game with over 100 yards from scrimmage, although it is also only the third time he's surpassed 60 yards from scrimmage all season as the Jets strive to get more consistency in their running game.

CB Trumaine Johnson

During the week, Johnson admitted that his season has been a disappointment so far, especially since he missed several weeks due to a quad injury. It was therefore good to see him make some plays this week, not least of which being his 31-yard pick-six for the Jets' only touchdown of the game.

It wasn't a flawless performance by Johnson, who was involved in a zone coverage breakdown on Corey Davis' winning touchdown and was called for a costly face mask penalty on that drive, albeit on a questionable call. However, apart from those two plays, he was targeted seven times and only gave up one catch, so his overall performance was definitely a step in the right direction.

DL Henry Anderson

Anderson, starting for the second week in a row, may only have had one tackle, but he put together a disruptive performance up front. His only official tackle was on a running play that went for a loss; he also had 1.5 sacks negated by penalties. Anderson had two quarterback hits, including one on the play that led to Johnson's touchdown. That's the second pick-six that Anderson has contributed to with a hit on the quarterback this season.

Anderson also came up big on special teams, where his extra point block proved crucial down the stretch as it meant the Titans needed a touchdown to take the lead rather than just a field goal. It will be interesting to see if the Jets aim to keep Anderson when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Losers

CB Morris Claiborne

Claiborne only gave up a couple of catches in this game, but they were big plays, as Tajae Sharpe was able to get some extra yards at the end of the play on a 28-yard catch-and-run and Taywan Taylor burned him over the top for a 44-yard catch to set up a field goal.

Perhaps more importantly, Claiborne was called for three defensive holding penalties, the first of which negated a sack. The second gave the Titans a fresh set of downs in the red zone and the final one offset a holding penalty that would have backed the Titans inside their own 10-yard line on their game-winning touchdown drive.

S Darryl Roberts

Roberts played deep enough to keep everything in front of him last week, but Sunday the Titans attacked him on some deep balls. One of these went for a 55-yard gain to set up the field goal that pulled Tennessee within three as Taylor blew past him and made the catch over the top. The Jets were also lucky on another play in which Claiborne was expecting deep help but Roberts didn't drop deep enough and the pass was over his head. That should have been a touchdown but was slightly overthrown.

With the news that Marcus Maye has been placed on injured reserve, Roberts will probably start at free safety for the rest of the season, so the Jets will have to be wary of other teams trying to exploit his inexperience in the role.

WR Quincy Enunwa

Enunwa had a rough game this week, as he was targeted six times but only managed to catch two passes for nine yards. He had two dropped passes and no first downs as quarterback Josh McCown completed just one of seven passes to his wide receivers after halftime, for 8 yards.

Each of Enunwa's targets was a short pass apart from a low percentage third-down overthrow in the end zone. After the game, Enunwa was clearly frustrated, although he was candid about what he feels is the problem with the offense. Based on this game, it may have something to do with his role.
